Why we need you

AQMetrics is looking for an experienced Analyst to join our Regulatory Reporting team in supporting our customers with global reporting obligations. In addition to providing excellence in Regulatory Reporting filings, you will help guide the design, development and support of next-generation features on our core product.

This is an opportunity for a Funds and Regulatory Reporting expert, with knowledge of existing and emerging regulations, to join a high-growth firm, changing the way investment managers stay compliant with global regulations.

 

What you will do:

In this role you will report to the CTO to plan, coordinate, execute and direct performance testing, and server and database tuning to ensure ongoing performance and scalability of the AQMetrics platform. You will manage the performance of our technology products and work closely with the CTO, engineering and QA team to define the product performance strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing SaaS company and help shape the product performance going forward. You will:

  • Create and maintain a cloud product and database performance strategy for both analytical and transactional data processing

  • Configure, monitor and improve PostgreSQL databases

  • Assist development teams with database design

  • Troubleshoot database performance and data issues

  • Design and implement database security best practices

  • Implement industry-wide best practices around database administration

  • Design and implement database backup and disaster recovery procedures

  • Design and implement database maintenance procedures

 

What you will have:

  • 4+ years experience in database performance tuning and DBA roles

  • 2+ years of those years managing PostgreSQL databases in a production environment

  • Experience working in a high-volume transaction environment 

  • Experience supporting large production database environments 

  • Experience troubleshooting database and SQL performance issues

  • Experience working collaboratively with application development teams to implement solutions

  • Good knowledge of SQL and database related technologies

  • Ability to work off-hours as needed

  • Linux experience

  • Shell scripting

  • Experience with Amazon AWS and RDS

  • BSc in Computer Science or Engineering degree, related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
