DORA compliance: mission accomplished for Irish financial firms

Dublin, 10th April 2025 — On April 4th, Irish financial entities were required to submit their Registers of Information (RoI) to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI). AQMetrics, a leading global provider of award-winning regulatory and compliance solutions, is proud to share that our team successfully supported our customers in meeting this key compliance milestone.

EU DORA

On 4th April, Irish financial entities were required to submit their Registers of Information (RoI) to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), and AQMetrics successfully supported customers in meeting this key DORA reporting compliance milestone.

Purpose-built for DORA reporting compliance

At AQMetrics, we have developed a purpose-built solution to help firms across Europe import their EBA template, run rigorous validation checks and formatting rules, store it securely and compliantly, and seamlessly automate reporting and filing with local regulators.

While the deadline has passed in some jurisdictions, many EU member states have deadlines set for later in April 2025 and some firms are still working through their submissions. If that’s where you are, we’re here to help.

Don’t get caught out: 5 RoI details you can’t afford to miss

We have recently supported many customers with their RoI submissions and in the process, uncovered several common pitfalls that can cause delays:

  1. Incorrect drop-down values: ensure all fields use the European Banking Authority’s prescribed values: custom or outdated options can cause validation failures.
  2. Wrong RoI template: using an outdated or incomplete template may result in missing mandatory fields, such as the parent undertaking’s identifier and its type.
  3. Knowledge gaps: a lack of familiarity with emerging regulatory change can lead to avoidable errors. Staying informed is critical.
  4. Invalid LEI codes: all Legal Entity Identifiers must be valid and verifiable against the Global LEI Foundation (GLEIF) database.
  5. Data formatting issues: watch for incorrect data types (e.g., dates, numbers), unsupported characters, field length overflows, and misaligned mappings of providers to critical functions.

Looking beyond the checklist

DORA is reshaping how financial institutions manage operational resilience and its impact goes far beyond ticking regulatory boxes. Reporting, in particular, demands attention to detail and a strategic approach to data management.

If your team is still navigating DORA compliance, AQMetrics is here to support you through innovative technology, regulatory insight, and a commitment to your success.
